Lesson 15, July 3rd

Let's continue to revise! Read the conversation between Kelly and Sarah. Why did Sarah say that she had a difficult weekend?

Now highlight three examples of negative sentences and three examples of interrogative sentences. What is the structure if the sentence's main verb is the verb to be? And if it is another verb?

Check our notes from the lesson:

Now let's practise! Complete with the verb to be or the auxiliary did (activity 4)

Remember: when a sentence already has a verb, we only need an auxiliary.

Ex: He _____ see her. (See is a verb so we need the auxiliary didn't)

When there is no verb, we need the verb to be.

Ex: They ______ great friends. (There is no verb so we need the verb to be. Since the person is they  the correct form is were)

Now you can work with the rest of the activities:
